I’ve been noticing a lot of book tags floating around the blogosphere lately, and this is one I especially enjoyed. I mean, books and chocolate are the best combination ever — just add some coffee in there and I’m basically set for life. The author of All Things Wordy was SWEET to tag me for this one (get it??).
DARK CHOCOLATE
a book that covers a dark topic
I read this over the summer, and it is a creepy one. It deals with the extent of evil in man, and is even more disturbing because it is kids stuck on the island — those who we usually think of as innocent.
WHITE CHOCOLATE
your favorite light-hearted/humorous read
Because I laugh out loud every time I read it. Also I just really like the combination of this book and white chocolate. They just seem to go together.
MILK CHOCOLATE
a book with a lot of hype you’re dying to read
Because Gayle Forman right now is the stuff, and I own If I Stay and Where She Went, and I NEED TO READ THIS IN THE EXTREMELY NEAR FUTURE.
CHOCOLATE WITH A CARAMEL CENTER
a book that makes you feel all gooey in the middle while you read it
Because it’s my favorite love story of. All. Time. I will never be able to explain how much I love this book. The feels in this book. The characters in this book. The everything about this book. THE GOOEYNESS OF LOVE GOES ON FOR DAYS.
WAFER-FREE KIT KIT
a book that has surprised you lately
This is one I had to read for American history this semester, and I’ll admit I did not read all of it. However, I was expecting it to be as dry and boring as all the others my professor has chosen, but the parts I read were actually interesting and fun to read.
SNICKERS
a book you’re going nuts about
This book is gorgeous and raw and real and beautiful all at the same time. The writing is brilliant and the fact that it follows a mother and her daughter through both their lives is fascinating and artfully done.
HOT CHOCOLATE WITH CREAM AND MARSHMALLOWS
a book you would turn to for a comfort read
Always.
BONUS!
I’m adding a tag of my own, because coffee and chocolate need to go together.
MOCHA
a book that you loved but has a little kick to it
This is a fun book to read. All the characters are likeable. The kick comes with the fact that it deals with extreme depression, and the knowledge that the author did too is sad.
I’M TAGGING…The Casual Philosopher
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this book tag. Now I’m off to gobble down a Hershey bar if I can find one…
