A few days ago (maybe more than a few), I was nominated for three (yes, three) awards. At the time I was busy getting ready for auditions, so I never took the time to thank those who nominated me! Where are my manners?

Why I Blog
Why do I blog? Ever since I learned to hold a pencil, I’ve enjoyed writing. I used to want to be an author. However, while I can give you a million story-starters, it’s hard for me to finish one.
I started sewing in middle school at 4H camp. I fell in love. I love all things beautiful, and I love making ugly things look pretty again. Blogging combines my love of writing and sewing. How did I get started? My sophomore year of high school, I took a web design class. One of our projects was to create a WordPress blog. At the time I didn’t know what to blog about, so the blog sat empty. Then recently I discovered that sewing blogs aren’t at all uncommon, and I thought, “Hey, I can do that!” The rest, as they say, is history.

- I enjoy country music.
- I play the flute and hope to at least minor in music.
- I’m very organized.
- I like cats.
- I adore Harry Potter.
- I like to listen to the concerts on NPR.

Thanks for thinking of me… But I’m not sure I understand how these work and where it started… Can you direct me to a link??? I’m a newbie to this kind of thing ;))
I’m a newbie as well, actually. My understanding is that once someone has nominated you, you follow the rules for that award and then can post it on your blog somewhere. Once you do that you have been awarded, and you can’t post an award on your blog unless you have been nominated. I think it’s pretty much a casual thing. However, I don’t have much experience with awards yet. . .but that is my understanding.
